Ingredients

  • 1 packet (7g) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for glazing)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, salt, and 2 cups of flour. Mix to combine.
  3. Gradually add the remaining flour, one cup at a time, until the dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, then place in a greased bowl. Cover with a cloth and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal portions. Shape each into a ball and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. While the rolls bake, melt the butter and mix in the minced garlic.
  8. Once the rolls are done, brush them with the garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • If you prefer a garlicky kick, increase the amount of garlic or add garlic powder to the dough.
  • The rolls can be made ahead and frozen. Just bake and glaze when ready to serve.
